Meet Daniel Galea, a freelance Data and Generative AI Engineer specializing in modern data platforms, cloud architecture, analytics, and applied AI. Work spans the full data lifecycle, from building reliable data foundations and developing advanced AI use cases to assisting in the creation or extension of data strategies. Projects focus on designing systems that securely store, process and organize data to support smarter data driven decisions while unlocking the potential of artificial intelligence. Hands-on technical training is also offered for small teams.

Expertise spans cloud based solutions and platform development, working with leading providers such as AWS and Azure while combining cloud native and open source technologies. Whether improving data workflows or implementing use cases powered by Generative AI, the focus remains on delivering innovative, future ready solutions that simplify data processes, improve efficiency, enhance decision making, and create new opportunities.

The journey into technology began at age fourteen with a first computer science course, sparking a lasting interest in development and problem solving. Since then, countless hours have been spent coding, experimenting with new tools, and expanding skills to stay ahead in an ever evolving field, while also managing stakeholders and aligning technical goals with business priorities.

Holding a B.Sc. in IT (Software Development) from the University of Malta and an M.Sc. in Computer Science specializing in Big Data Engineering, jointly awarded by Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and the University of Amsterdam, along with nine years of professional experience, provides a strong foundation for bridging the gap between technical challenges and business goals.
